LSMSA Honors Student Athletes at Annual Athletics Award Banquet

The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) held its Annual Athletics Award Banquet on May 8, honoring students for their achievements across a broad range of sports and activities during the 2025-2026 school year. The ceremony brought together students, families, faculty, and staff to celebrate excellence in athletics, sportsmanship, and school spirit.
The evening featured keynote remarks from Ms. LaVonya Malveaux, a member of the LSMSA Class of 1985, a certified sports social worker and a field representative for U.S. Representative Cleo Fields. Malveaux’s address drew on her personal connection to LSMSA and her professional experience at the intersection of athletics and community well-being.

Dale Clingerman, LSMSA's Athletics Director, led the event, which recognized players in all of LSMSA’s sports teams, as well as SLAMT participants and Athletics Department supporters.
