The application for 2021-2022 is now closed.  The application process for 2022-23 will open in September.

Begin the application process.

For current freshmen, sophomores and juniors who are interested in attending LSMSA, instructions regarding the components of the application process are listed below.

(Note: Once you begin the application process, a Progress Page with a Checklist will be created for you in our online application system. Most of the steps are completed by accessing that checklist.)

List of 7 items.

  • Complete and submit the online application.

    • The application contains sections which must be completed by the applicant and the parent/guardian.
    • Complete and submit your application as soon as possible.
  • Register to take the ACT, SAT, or CLT.

    • If taking the ACT, we recommend the December 12th or February 6th test dates.
    • If taking the SAT, we recommend the December 5th or March 13th test dates.
    • If taking the CLT, the test will be remotely proctored (meaning you can test from home) on December 5th.
    • When registering for either the ACT or the SAT, please be sure to use code 6351 in the four-digit space for reports to colleges and scholarship programs. This code will ensure that your test scores will be sent to LSMSA in a timely manner.
  • Submit LEAP/EOC scores.

    • Upload copies of your score reports or ask your guidance counselor to fax or email copies of your state testing record to Enrollment Services.
    • If you have attended private school or are home-schooled, this requirement will be waived.
  • Request letters of recommendation.

    • Complete the online request for letters of recommendation from a principal or guidance counselor, a math teacher and an English teacher.
  • Submit your transcript.

    • After you receive your midterm grades, upload a copy of your report card.
    • Upload a copy of your transcript (it does not have to be an official copy) or any previous year report cards reflecting high school credit you have earned.
  • Visit LSMSA.

    • Make plans to visit our campus if possible.
    • We hope to offer Exploration Days in Spring 2021, but you can also set up a private tour by contacting the Enrollment Services Office.
  • Complete an interview.

    • Once your application is complete, we'll contact you to schedule a time for an interview. Most of our interviews are completed over the phone, so it will not require that you come to campus.
It's a good idea to keep copies of all documents pertaining to your application for your records.

Application information may be faxed or emailed.

Campus Visit Information

All applicants are encouraged to visit the campus at least once during the application process. Attending an Exploration Day is the very best way to experience LSMSA as you will see the campus in action, sit in on classes and meet other prospective students. We hope to be able to offer Exploration Days in Spring 2021. Individual campus visits are available to those in the application process. Please contact our office [email protected] if you would like to schedule a tour.
