Ranked by Niche as the 2024 best public high school faculty in the state and fifth best in the nation, LSMSA's exceptional instructors are committed to education, mentoring and supporting the school's young scholars. Of the 43 full-time faculty members, 44% have served at LSMSA for at least 10 years. Faculty are required to hold a master's degree or higher in the areas they teach. Eighty percent of LSMSA's faculty hold a Ph.D., M.F.A., or the equivalent terminal degree. In addition to their time in the classroom, our instructors devote 10 hours a week to individual tutoring, research and mentoring.

A professional residential life staff assists students in getting the most out of the internationally awarded living/learning environment by helping them develop life skills that are necessary for success at LSMSA and in college.
