Mission

Promote the interests of all students, faculty and staff associated with LSMSA, past and present.
Promote the interests of the Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts by informing, involving, and serving the members of the LSMSA family throughout their lifelong relationship with LSMSA.

    After graduating from LSMSA, Kirby attended Vanderbilt before studying at the University of Texas School of Law.

    Jennifer Fountain graduated from LSMSA in 1995 and earned her Bachelor’s in Mathematics and a commission in the United States Air Force through the University of Southern Mississippi.

    After graduating from LSMSA in 2011, Mimi Spahn Sattler earned her Bachelors in Neuroscience at the University of Southern California.

  • John Allen ('98) - Treasurer

    Dr. John A. Allen was born and raised in Lena, Louisiana. His time at LSMSA began in 1996 where he thrived in the humanities and arts, served as junior class vice president and senior class president, and was honored to be prom king. His favorite instructors were Bob Gregory, Dr. Brown, and Dr. Beier.

  • Brittany Taraba ('07) - Natchitoches Liaison

    Brittany graduated from LSMSA in 2007. She attended Nicholls State University where she earned a BS in Business-Marketing. After a career choice pivot, she earned her MAT in Elementary Education from the University of Louisiana-Monroe and later her Educational Specialist in School Administration from Northwestern State University.

Membership

Anyone ever associated with LSMSA -- whether as a student, member of the faculty, or member of the staff -- is automatically a member of the LSMSAAA.
 
There are no annual dues required for membership in the LSMSAAA.

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
