Final Exams
Final exams will be administered on Dec. 12-17, 2024. -
Winter Break '24-'25
LSMSA dismisses for Winter Break on Dec. 17, 2024. Students return to campus on Jan. 5. The LLC reopens at 3 p.m. on Jan. 5, 2025. -
Special Projects Week 2025
Students will share their Special Projects Week assignments, Jan. 6-10, 2025. -
Required Weekend
A long-standing part of the academic requirements of LSMSA, required weekends bring students together on 3-4 weekends a year for additional academic experiences or school-sponsored events aimed at enhancing the living/learning environment. -
Mardi Gras Break 2024
LSMSA's 2024 Mardi Gras Break will begin on Feb. 28 and will end on March 9. The LLC will open at 3 p.m. on March 9, and classes will resume on March 10.

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
