Kim Barrett
Kim Barrett (’03) is the Chief Financial Officer at Friends Community School, a progressive Quaker school in College Park, MD.
Kim possesses over 16 years of experience in organizational leadership in the education and nonprofit sectors. She began her career as a college admission counselor at Hendrix College and subsequently spent over a decade in district administration at DC Public Schools. Kim has served as the Executive Director of Honored, a national nonprofit focused on teacher recognition, and as a consultant for a variety of K-12 education organizations, school districts, charter networks, and foundations. Her expertise includes talent strategy, cross-functional alignment, leadership development, strategic planning, and fiscal management.
Kim holds a bachelor's degree in history and international relations from Hendrix College, a master's degree in public policy and human development from Maastricht University, and an executive master’s in leadership from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
