Calvin Grier

Calvin Grier (’85) is a Principal Field Applications Engineer for Renesas Electronics, working out of Atlanta where he lives with his wife and three children.
Calvin supports customers throughout the U.S. Southeast region. Over the years he has participated in several local organizations focused on building strong civic engagement and community networking. Calvin grew up on the West Bank of New Orleans in Jefferson Parish, where he attended public schools before making the leap to LSMSA in 1983. He is proud to be among LSMSA’s first graduates.

After graduating from LSMSA, Calvin attended the Georgia Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics in 1990. He began his career in industrial automation and servo motor controls later transitioning to the semiconductor industry.

As a volunteer, Calvin served his local community on the Berkeley Lake City Finance Committee, contributing to financial oversight and budgeting efforts - which, he hopes, will help with experience relevant to the board of trustees. He remains deeply appreciative of the role LSMSA played in his academic and professional development and is honored to give back through service to the LSMSA Foundation.
