Since 1983, all students have participated in the work service program, completing three supervised hours of campus work each week, to support the daily operations and needs of the LSMSA campus. This work fosters a sense of responsibility, service, and community among our students. Work Service builds mentoring relationships with faculty and staff and is required for graduation. Successful completion of Work Service assignments is a graduation requirement, ensuring every LSMSA graduate has contributed meaningfully to the school community.

Sample Work Service Assignments include:
  • HSB Housekeeping
  • NSU Library
  • Dining Hall
  • NSU Elementary Lab School
  • Faculty assistant
  • Enrollment Services
  • LSMSA Foundation
  • Executive Offices
  • Academic Services
  • College Counseling Center
"Living on campus comes with a lot of freedom and independence, but on the flip side it also comes with more responsibility. Personally living on campus was extremely freeing and a great experience; especially since you get to experience a college atmosphere in high school."
