Angel Marchante to speak about aboriginal culture of Gran Canaria
Angel Marchante, an archaeologist from the University of Las Palmas in Spain, will present a seminar on the aboriginal culture of Gran Canaria at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, in the recital hall located in the Center for Performance and Technology on the LSMSA campus.
Marchante will highlight some of the mysteries of the little known culture of these native people, their social structure and the geometric patterns prevalent in their architecture, seals and calendars.
