Chorale earns sweepstakes trophy at district event

Group will participate in state competition in April
Members of the Chorale at LSMSA participated in the Louisiana Music Teachers Association district large ensemble assessment on Thursday, March 16. The group performed three concert selections for three judges and then sight read a piece for another judge. Members received superior ratings in both performances, earning a sweepstakes trophy and qualifying to participate in the regional/state level assessment in April. Students include Milan Arpino, a senior from Monroe; Kathy Barrios, a junior from Houma; Madi Bolin, a sophomore from Slidell; Luke Boston, a sophomore from Covington; Janie Bourgeois, a senior from LaPlace; Garett Byrne, a junior from Walker; Christopher Comeaux, a sophomore from Covington; Alaina Davis, a senior from Denham Springs; Grace Dumdaw, a senior from Mandeville; Christian Hairr, a senior from Sulphur; Steven Harris, a junior from Natchitoches; Camren Hohn, a sophomore from Iowa; Jared Hulsey, a senior from Dodson; Vi Kinney, a senior from Natchitoches; Caroline Koonce, a sophomore from Baton Rouge; Emma Miller, a junior from Meraux; Shemya Mozeke, a junior from Homer; Tobi Ojemakinde, a sophomore from Shreveport; Lucy Rhymes, a senior from Breaux Bridge; Hannah Rice, a junior from Mandeville; Charlie Roppolo, a junior from Denham Springs; Mary Edna Tanksley, a junior from Lake Providence; Carrie Thomas, a senior from Denham Springs; Jonas Truax, a sophomore from Denham Springs; and Annie Tyler, a sophomore from Shreveport.
