LSMSA Announces Winners of Veterans Day Writing Contest

The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts congratulates Douglass Mayberry III and Khylee Dial, on winning the school’s Veterans Day Writing Contest. The competition was organized by the LSMSA Student Government Organization to honor those who served in the U. S. Armed Forces and to thank them for their service. Participants submitted original written works, reflecting on the meaning of Veterans Day, offering thoughtful and powerful expressions of gratitude and remembrance.
Dial relays her grandmother’s experiences as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy during the 1980s, while Mayberry shares about his deep admiration and respect for those who have chosen to commit their lives to the service of our freedom.
