Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) faculty and staff participated in an annual in-service week of presentations, meetings, and awards.
The following faculty and staff were recognized for their five-year increments of service to the school:
Celebrating 25 years of service was Emily Shumate, Director of Enrollment Management and Outreach.
Raj Gongaju, Residential Life Staff Member, and Dr. Allison Landry, Senior Lecturer of Biology, were recognized for completing 20 years of service.
Dr. Kyle Stephens, Lecturer of History and Faculty Representative for the LSMSA Board of Directors; Dr. Emily Allen, Lecturer of English; Dr. Casey Green, Lecturer of History and Department Chair; Dr. Kristi Pope Key, Associate Lecturer of English; Professor Randi Key, Lecturer of Mathematics; and Sheila Kidd, Human Resources Manager (Retiring) reached the ten-year milestone.
Completing their fifth year of service were Dr. Dalton Burks, Associate Lecturer of Chemistry; Anne Lucas, Human Resources Manager; Corey Poole, Enrollment Management and Outreach; Katie Summerell, Director of the College Counseling Center; and Bryson Thomas, IT Support Analyst.
Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
