LSMSA Hosts Thrive Academy
Administrators from Baton Rouge school visit Natchitoches
Administrators from Thrive Academy in Baton Rouge visited LSMSA Friday, Nov. 15, to learn more about the school's mission, tour the facilities, and speak with their LSMSA counterparts to inquire about school policies and procedures.
The academy is a part-time boarding school where students reside from Sunday night through Friday afternoon.
In 2018 Thrive Academy changed from a charter school to an independent school, as such, they recieve direct funding appropriation from the legislature. LSMSA has assisted Thrive over the years as they have changed to being state funded.
It has been a learning experience for both institutions, and LSMSA is happy to collaborate and share best practices with Thrive Academy.
