Religions of Asia course holds Langar

Prem Gongaju's Religions of Asia course participated in the Langar on Monday.
The Langar, or free community kitchen, is a hallmark of the Sikh faith that represents the equality of all people. During this meal, every Sikh sits together regardless of class, gender or caste, and the tradition expresses the ideals of sharing, inclusiveness, and oneness. On October 21, Mr. Prem Gongaju's Religions of Asia course participated in the Langar as they recited assignments from the text.
"I think the Langar is a good example of the different opportunities the classes at LSMSA provide. Instead of just reading about it in the text, we were able to experience how the meal would feel, which was much more engaging," said Sophia Abbahou ('21).
