Twelve attend leadership retreat at Lake Bistineau State Park

Leadership activities, team building exercises and fun social events were on the agenda when 12 students and three chaperones from LSMSA attended a leadership retreat at Lake Bistineau State Park March 9-11. Chaperones were Jenny Schmitt, assistant director of student life; Dr. Stephen Costin, a chemistry instructor; and Dr. Michele Stover, a chemistry instructor. Students participating included Veronica Sturman, a junior from Natchitoches; Kylie Walker, a sophomore from Geismar; Gabriella Papillion, a senior from Oberlin; Makaylen Green, a sophomore from Lake Charles; Hoa Nguyen, a senior from LaPlace; Marcus Shallow, a senior from Elton; Sydney Sorbet, a sophomore from Covington; Nautica Jones, a senior from St. Martinville; Jessenia Ortiz, a senior from Oberlin; Nyihaji Woods, a sophomore from Thibodaux; Heather Collier, a sophomore from Denham Springs; and Xavier Banks, a senior from New Iberia.
