Donors Help LSMSA Families Affected by Hurricane, Pandemic

“Overwhelmed.” “Blown away.” “Unexpected.”

These are just a few of the expressions of gratitude from current LSMSA parents affected by COVID-19 and Hurricane Laura when they received gift cards to help their families with essentials.

“Helping families with essential resources is a beautiful illustration of how our donors’ generosity meets students’ real-time needs,” said Ali Landry, CFRE, LSMSA Foundation Executive Director. “We are so grateful for the contributions that make things like this possible.”

Thanks to donor support, LSMSA was able to provide nearly $50,000 in assistance already this fall for technology required for online learning; secure physical and mental telehealth platforms; and webcams so students can experience lab courses more realistically.
