Dr. Ken Oertling

President, LA Association of School Superintendents

Dr. Oertling holds the position of President of LASS; he and his wife, Kelli, reside in Luling LA.

A U.S. Navy Veteran with six years of service as a Radioman Electronics Technician, he began teaching in St. Charles parish in 2001; and was appointed superintendent of St. Charles Parish Public Schools in 2019. Most recently, he was named as the 2025 Superintendent of the year.
