Who We Are

Policies

The Governing Board of Directors of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts determines Board, administrative, and educational policies for the conduct of school affairs and provides for the execution of its policies by the Executive Director of LSMSA and all other employees of the school.  The Board annually reviews the Academic and Residential Life Handbook (a.k.a. "The Student Handbook"), the Employee Handbook, and the Employee Safety Manual.

In addition to these three comprehensive publications, the Board also sets policies that may not be included in any of these publications.  Some are mandated by state and/or federal statute and are required to be posted on the school's website.  Policies that apply only to LSMSA employees are located in the school's intranet, myLSMSA.
