The Residential Experience
Residence Hall Life
LSMSA's Living Learning Commons (the LLC) opened in 2021 and was intentionally designed to meet the needs of our students.
Male students live in B-Tower, and female students live in A- and C-Towers. Each residential community includes its own laundry room, study room, and common area. Common rooms feature a smart TV, wireless printer, single-serve coffee maker, and microwaves for student use.
On the first floor, you’ll find the Health Services office, a full kitchen for student use, a game room, a craft room, study rooms, and two lounges.
Building entry and housing wings are secured by card access, and the first-floor front desk is staffed 24/7 whenever students are on campus.
Student Suites
Students live in suites with two student rooms and a shared bathroom. Two students share each room, and four students share the bathroom space.
Students can request a specific roommate and suitemates or can be paired using our roommate questionnaire, which is completed after New Student Orientation.

A limited number of non-lofted beds are available for students who are unable to use a lofted bed.

Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts
Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
