About the LSMSA Foundation

The LSMSA Foundation helps provide the resources that allow LSMSA to do more for its students, faculty, and programs. We work closely with donors to make sure their gifts are used as intended and managed responsibly so they can make a meaningful difference today and for years to come. 

We work to ensure that every academically qualified student who wants to attend LSMSA can do so, regardless of financial constraints. Beyond access, the Foundation supports student enrichment, academic and extracurricular opportunities, faculty and staff professional development, and campus enhancements that help make the LSMSA experience exceptional. 

The Foundation is a partner to the school, working collaboratively to identify opportunities, build strategic partnerships, encourage innovation, and help turn bold ideas into meaningful impact for LSMSA students today and in the future.

Mission

The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts Foundation develops and manages resources to enhance the work of LSMSA.

Goals

  • Intensify academic excellence at LSMSA by supporting educational and intellectual endeavors that go above and beyond a typical classroom experience
  • Support faculty and staff in their professional development and personal research so that LSMSA teachers can continue to be scholars and artists in their own right
  • Improve and expand LSMSA residential and instructional buildings so that the LSMSA community inhabits a living/learning environment that is both safe and stimulating

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
