About the LSMSA Foundation

Jackie New Fletcher

Jackie New Fletcher, PMP (‘08) grew up in Berwick, LA with three siblings, all of whom graduated from LSMSA. 
She has a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and a master’s degree in Energy Law, both from Texas A&M. Currently, she is a senior Well Servicing engineer at Oxy in Houston, TX and has experience in engineering and operations, project management, process improvement, and supply chain management/procurement. 

Jackie is passionate about STEAM education and volunteers with FIRST Robotics as a judge and judge advisor. She is also the Vice President for the Houston chapter of the American Association of Drilling Engineers. 

Prior to joining the LSMSA Foundation board, Jackie has spoken at Connections Weekend and volunteered with the Foundation’s Development Committee. She is honored to serve the school as a trustee and to help further prepare students for college life and beyond.

Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
