Jimmy D. Long, Jr.

Gubernatorial Appointee
Jimmy D. Long, Jr. is the son of one of LSMSA's Founding Fathers, Jimmy D. Long, Sr., and is a Board Certified Estate Planning Attorney in Natchitoches. He studied law at Loyola University College of Law in New Orleans and has been practicing for more than 30 years. He served as Assistant District Attorney for the 10th Judicial District from 1992 -2017, and now his office offers comprehensive estate planning, long term care, business planning, and probate services to clients throughout North, West, and Central Louisiana, including Natchitoches Parish, Sabine Parish, DeSoto Parish, Red River Parish, Vernon Parish, Rapides Parish, Grant Parish, and Winn Parish. He was appointed to the school's Board of Directors in May 2016.

Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
