Green to attend training at Harvard

Selected by the League of Women Voters of Louisiana
Associate Lecturer of History Dr. Casey Green is among an exclusive group of six Louisiana teachers selected by the League of Women Voters of Louisiana to receive an all-expense-paid training at Harvard University. The civics education workshop will be held this September and will train teachers in new case study methodology to deepen students' understanding of democracy.

"Dr. Green's trip is going to have a direct impact on her work as a scholar and as a professor, and we anticipate her bringing back the case-study method to our American History courses here," said Dr. Kristi Key, director of academic services. "Plus, it's awesome that she's been recognized by this important organization in our state."

Dr. Green, a 2005 graduate, has taught history at LSMSA since 2015.
