Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Victoria C. Lloyd Returns to LSMSA as Coordinator of Data Compliance and Accountability

Dr. Lloyd's path back to LSMSA has taken her through a wide range of academic experiences. After graduating from LSMSA, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with minors in Physics and French from Oglethorpe University, followed by a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University. She went on to complete both a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Research and a Master of Arts in Research Methods and Evaluation at LSU. She has spent the past several years working in education research and data analysis, giving her experience she is now excited to apply in service of the school that shaped her own path.

Reflecting on her time as a student, Dr. Lloyd points to several faculty members who left a lasting impression on her, including Dr. Art Williams, Dr. Sharon Williams and Dr. Dalling. She credits Dr. Art Williams with teaching her to think critically and search for deeper meaning, Dr. Sharon Williams with teaching her to advocate for herself and know her worth, and Dr. Dalling with showing her that it is never too late to change course in pursuit of a passion. Dr. Lloyd also credits LSMSA's culture of curiosity and exploration with shaping who she is today, including the two years she returned as a Student Life Advisor, deepening her connection to the school and shaping her professional growth as she planned her grad school path.

“I’m excited to contribute to the school's mission in a new way while continuing to learn from the incredibly talented students, faculty, and staff who make LSMSA such a special place,” says Dr. Lloyd. LSMSA welcomes her excitement to use data to help tell the story of student success while supporting decisions that benefit its students for years to come.
