Dr. Misty Davis

Dr. Davis began her career in education as a high school science teacher in Caddo Parish. Following her time in Caddo, she served as Supervisor of Student Learning in DeSoto Parish before joining the LDOE as a Dir. Of School Improvement in 2021. She earned her BS from LSU in 1998. She studied Educational Leadership at LSU Shreveport, earning a Master of Education in 2008, and at LA Tech University, earning a Doctor of Education in 2015.

Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
