Guided by information from public health officials, Governor John Bel Edwards, the Louisiana State Superintendent of Education Dr. Cade Brumley, and our Board of Directors, the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) will be holding fall 2020 classes in an entirely virtual setting. The first day of online classes will be August 17.
We understand that COVID-19’s challenges go much further than disrupting activities and much wider than limiting everyday conveniences. We want to assure you that additional funds are available to support Eagle families experiencing challenges that could prevent students’ progress. We encourage any family who may need assistance this fall, including those who completed the survey, to apply here for help.
Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
