A word from the Eagles' nest - March 2023
The leaves are green, the pollen is yellow, the juniors are fundraising like crazy for prom… Spring has officially sprung here at LSMSA!
Spring Break is coming up, and I think we’re all ready. Juniors just finished up ACT testing and we’re getting great reports of progress from tired but happy students.
The school has received some incredible accolades lately. Not only was LSMSA named a finalist in the Natchitoches Area Chamber’s “Best of” awards, we were also recognized internationally as a top boarding school. Alumni John Normand (’89)’s LinkedIn post says it best. Thanks so much for those kind words, John. We’re honored and even more motivated to excel.
It was wonderful to see so many of you back in Natchitoches for Reunion Weekend this year. Em and I had fun hosting the Class of ‘88’s event – it’s always good to catch up with the “kids” I first met as an RA in Prudhomme, and seeing all of you from the Classes of ’93, ’97, ’98, ’13, and ’18 was the best lagniappe. Speaking of how proud we are of all of our alumni, we have to make sure the LSMSA family is aware that fellow Eagle Hong Chau (’97) was nominated for an Oscar this year!
Our first letters of acceptance for the 2023-24 school year have gone out, but there’s still time for prospective students to apply. Please refer any high-achieving rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors who would be a good fit for LSMSA. We are also still hiring for several positions, so be sure to spread the word.
