A word from the Eagles' nest - October 2023

Because of you, we enjoyed a great balance of reminiscing on the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward to the future of the Louisiana School. 

 

One noteworthy celebration we learned about last week was once again being ranked highly by Niche in several categories. With an overall A+ grade and repeatedly ranking in the top 1% of high schools in the nation, we can also add #1 faculty in the state and #5 faculty in the country to our list of accolades! We are so appreciative of our hardworking, dedicated faculty – as you well know, they are an essential reason why this living/learning community has seen so much success for the past four decades.

 

A few weeks ago, we hosted visitors from Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Stay tuned for the special they’ll do after the election to commemorate the 40^th anniversary! October is always crunch time for students with midterms and for faculty and staff with college recommendation letters, so we are ALL looking forward to the school’s fall break next week. And when we return, the holiday flurry of November and December will quickly begin. Time really does fly when you’re having fun!

 

Our Enrollment Services team has been on the road getting out the word about LSMSA to prospective families with Informational Meetings, Exploration Days, and tours of the school. If you know of anyone who would be a good candidate to apply, please refer them and let them know about these opportunities to learn more about the school.

 

We are still basking in the nostalgia of seeing so many of you “back home” – have a beautiful start to your fall!
