LSMSA holds Slidell, Hammond, and Lafayette meetings for prospective students
Representatives from the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) Enrollment Services team will be in Slidell, Hammond, and Lafayette to visit with interested students and their families, answer their questions, and present what LSMSA has to offer.
Informational meeting details are:
Sunday, Sept. 24, 3-5 p.m. – Slidell Area Wingate by Wyndham Hotel, 1752 Gause Blvd, Slidell, LA 70461
Monday, Sept 25, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. – Hammond Area Tangipahoa Chamber of Commerce, 400 NW Railroad Ave, Hammond, LA 70401
Tuesday, Sept. 26, 6:30-8:30 p.m. – Lafayette Wesley United Campus Ministry, 238 General Gardner Ave, Lafayette, LA 70501
LSMSA, ranked one of the World’s Best Boarding Schools by Fortune magazine, is a tuition-free, public high school for high-achieving rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors with a nominal room and board fee to cover housing, meals, and campus activities. The LSMSA Foundation offers assistance for families in need to ensure no eligible student is denied the school’s 40-year legacy of a premium college-level living/learning experience.
“These informational meetings give families a great opportunity to see what LSMSA is all about,” said Emily Shumate, LSMSA Director of Enrollment Management & Institutional Research. “We encourage anyone who is interested in the school to learn more about why LSMSA could be a good fit for them.”
Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors. As a public school, there is no tuition to attend, and assistance from the LSMSA Foundation ensures the program is available to all qualifying students regardless of family financial need.
