1987 alum begins school's Forever LSMSA Society

LSMSA alumnus Robert Graham ('87) of Houma sincerely believes that he would not be where he is today had he not attended the Louisiana School.
"Going to LSMSA opened the door for me to the wider world outside of Houma, gave me an opportunity to take classes that simply weren’t available at Terrebonne High, and allowed me to get into Georgetown University, move to D.C., and build an interesting and successful life," reflects Graham.

Because of the transformative impact the school has had on his life, Graham made the decision to include the LSMSA Foundation in his will, placing him as the first member of the new Forever LSMSA Society. While taking care of long-term financial matters may seem morbid to some, Graham sees it as an opportunity to give back and to inspire others to do the same -- particularly during National Make A Will Month.

"Making this bequest is my way of expressing my appreciation to the school for all it did for me," he says. "I hope that making this donation helps individual students facing financial challenges in attending LSMSA or in fully participating in all LSMSA has to offer, and that it helps the school pay for activities, equipment, or other important things which they are unable to fund from their regular budget."

Graham encourages you to join him in supporting the school with legacy giving by speaking to your lawyer and financial advisor.

"My hope is that this donation will, in some small measure, lighten the financial burden on the school in providing a first-rate education and on the students in receiving that education," says Graham.
