Three LSMSA employees honored for years of service
Benner, Gongaju, and Sanchez recognized for careers
Three longtime employees of the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) were celebrated for their careers at an honorary reception on Wednesday, May 10.
The employees honored were Mrs. Lisa Benner, MM, Senior Lecturer of Voice and Chorale; Mr. Prem Gongaju, MDiv, Student Life Advisor and Adjunct Instructor of Humanities; and Dr. Maria Sanchez, Senior Lecturer of Spanish.
Former students, parents, faculty, and staff joined the current LSMSA community to recognize the three educators' more than 60 years of combined service to the school.
Benner and Sanchez were named Faculty Emeritus status by the school's Board of Trustees.
