Alum Ben Marcel ('00) hosts axe-throwing event to support LSMSA
In April, LSMSA alum, 1983 Society Member, and Toropath Technologies CEO Ben Marcel ('00) hosted an axe-throwing event to help Eagles soar.
His new business, LA Threaux in Gonzales, donated 25% of proceeds to the LSMSA Foundation and sold jambalaya plates, raising more than $300 to support the school.
"I was very excited to try something new and different to raise awareness and funds for the LSMSA Foundation. Our alumni all over the world are doing great things, and I thought this would be a way to spark new ideas to support the Foundation by hosting alumni events at alumni-owned businesses," said Marcel. "We had a wide range of attendees from various graduating classes, parents of alumni, as well as friends of alumni. Everyone had a blast throwing axes and getting to know one another. Looking forward to hosting another alumni axe throwing event soon."
