Progress Despite Pandemic

Great news from the construction zone -- progress on LSMSA’s new residence hall has been steady, with the project remaining on schedule and on budget. Construction should be completed in time for move-in-day of the 2021-2022 school year.

Residence hall construction has been staged by tower, and the exterior of Tower B is now fully bricked! Tower A’s walls are up and glass is being installed. Framing, plumbing, and electrical work are all happening in Tower C. In a few weeks, the main chiller will be installed.

“In an uncertain world, it’s nice to see progress continuing at LSMSA - the skyline has changed and the sounds of saws, drills, and hammers fills the silence of the empty campus,” said Chief of Staff and Director of Administration John Allen, MPA (‘98). “Construction of the new residence hall has been ongoing for over a year now and will continue through the fall and winter seasons. We are moving ever closer to a unified campus - a goal we have strived towards for nearly 40 years.”
