Foreign language students compete at festival

School brings home trophy for best school overall
Students from LSMSA competed at the 35th annual Foreign Language Festival hosted by the Department of Languages and Communication at Southeastern Louisiana University on Friday, March 31.

LSMSA was recognized as Best School Overall Tier 2 (less than 600 students) in Spanish and French, for which the students earned a trophy.

Individual student results were:

Anne-Marie Higginbotham, a sophomore from Lafayette, first place in French Poetry Level 1
Elyse Duplantier, a sophomore from Zachary, first place in French Poetry Level 2
Hannah Miller, a junior from Baton Rouge, first place in French Poetry Level 3
Kori Reine, a senior from Slidell, first place in French Poetry Level 4
Kathy Barrios, a junior from Houma, first place in French Prose Level 1
Colt Crain, a sophomore from Zachary, first place in French Prose Level 2
