Reception for Alumni Art Show set for Oct. 16
A reception to recognize the artists featured in the Alumni Art Show at LSMSA is set to be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, in the art gallery located in the Center for Performance and Technology.
The public is invited to attend.
The Alumni Art Show, “Past Perfect,” is the first exhibit to focus exclusively on the art of alumni from LSMSA.
Inspired by a sheer curiosity about the visual arts program and its development over the years, the alumni who steered this project share an enthusiasm for the school’s gallery, which opened in 2010.
The exhibit presents a wide range of mediums, styles and practices from artists that span several generations – from the Class of 1986 to the Class of 2013.
Artists include Chyenne Bertrand (’10), Dakota Bertrand (’94), Toni Carlone (’13), Misty Cole (’92), Anne-Louise Ewen (’94), John Goedtel (’11), Tucker Howard (’11), Sharon LaBorde (’95), David Lowe (’92), Deborah Mahnken (’86), Daniel McKernan (’99), Doris Mejia (’92), Jared Normand (’05), Amy Traylor (’94), John Waggener (’95), Nathaniel Wood (’90) and Liz Yerby (’07).
