LSMSA students, alum participate in NSU School of Biological and Physical Science's space project

The NSU DemonSats-4 team successfully defended their space payload design and integrated their payload onto the flight string for LaSPACE-ACES-69 flight. The team consists of LSMSA's Derek Dupree ('21) and NSU Physical Science/Biology double major, Reese Nordan ('23), and Arianna Jackson ('23).
Their project was to build an environmental chamber for sensors that maintains an increased pressure when compared to the external environment.  This sensor chamber design will be used in future payloads to provide a better opportunity for gas sensors to make effective measurements in the upper atmosphere, where the air pressure is very low.
