LSMSA students honored at NSU Music Festival

The following LSMSA piano students received ratings of superior in the NSU Music Festival on Saturday, March 4: Anastasia Adams-Giron (’24) of Alexandria; Pooja Garlapati (’23) of West Monroe; and Peter Yu (’25) of Choudrant.

In addition, Adams-Giron and Garlapati were selected to perform in the Honors Recital Saturday afternoon. Also performing at the Honors Recital was NSU piano student and LSMSA alumnus Connor Breaux (’21) of Lake Charles.

“I’m very proud of the three student pianists who did well at the NSU Music Festival,” said LSMSA Senior Lecturer of Piano Charles Jones. “Their hard work resulted in fine performances in the competition and at the Honors Recital. It’s always a pleasure to teach these dedicated, talented students.”
