Eight LSMSA students inducted into French Honor Society

Inductees are Adé Adjignon (’24) of Baton Rouge; Tadgh Bowman (’23) of New Orleans; William Brown (’23) of Industry, TX; Emma Cecchini (’23) of Cary, NC; Emma Circello (’23) of Livonia; Julia Ferrell (’22) of Natchitoches; Ashley Green (’23) of Houma; and Anh Pham (’23) of Ruston.

The goals of the French Honor Society are to stimulate interest in the study of French, promote high standards of scholarship, reward scholastic achievements, create enthusiasm for and understanding of Francophone culture and civilization, and promote and perpetuate international friendship. Students who maintain an A average in all French courses and a B average overall are eligible for membership after their third semester of French.

Other LSMSA members include Raney Cappel (’22) of Lake Charles; Jordan Hoffman (’22) of Ragley; Isabella Leslie (’23) of Lake Charles; Elise Ramcourt (’23) of Lake Charles; and Amarige Yusufji (’22) of Shreveport. The French Honor Society motto is, “Avoir une autre langue, c’est posséder une deuxième âme,” which in English means, “To have another language is to possess a second soul. ”
