LSMSA classes to resume Tues., Sept. 7

To allow LSMSA's south Louisiana families a chance to regroup and assess after Hurricane Ida, LSMSA will cancel classes for the week and resume on Tuesday, September 7th.
- There will be no virtual instruction this week.
- The LLC will remain closed for the week.
- Any assignments due this week will be postponed.
Hi Eagles and Eagle Parents:

While Natchitoches has fared better than we expected with Hurricane Ida, we recognize that the Southern part of the state has not.

Over a third of our students and their families live in parishes impacted by the storm. And, as of this time, we know that the majority of those parishes are without power, cell service, and utilities. Please let us know where you are and if you are safe using the form in the email to students and parents.

To allow our south Louisiana families a chance to regroup and assess, we will cancel classes for the entire week for the entire school (to resume on Tuesday, September 7th). There will be no virtual instruction this week, and the LLC will remain closed for the week. Any assignments that are due this week will be postponed, and your teachers will communicate with your classes regarding establishing new deadlines. Right now, please prioritize your family’s well-being.

The campus is closed today per state directive; however, offices will reopen tomorrow at 8 a.m.  We will begin efforts to locate our students to assess their needs. As we gather more information we will keep you informed, particularly as we begin the process of reopening the campus.

Keep our families and alumni in your thoughts over the next days. So many experienced significant storm trauma in the past year alone, and now we are again facing trying times. Please take care of yourselves.

Stay safe, stay well.

Best,
Steve Horton
