LSMSA's French Honor Society inducts 14 students

Fourteen students were inducted into the French Honor Society at LSMSA as the 2020-2021 school year came to an end.
The chapter is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, and the local sponsor is Dr. Nathalie Malti, Associate Lecturer of French.

Students are eligible for membership after their third semester of French. They must maintain an A average in all French courses and a B average overall.

The aims of the society are to stimulate interest in the study of French, to promote high standards of scholarship, to reward scholastic achievements, to create enthusiasm for and understanding of Francophone culture and civilization, to promote and perpetuate international friendship.

The motto of the society is “Avoir une autre langue, c’est posséder une deuxième âme.” Translation: To have another language, is to have a second soul.
