Dear Eagle Parents,

Times like these serve as a strong reminder that wherever we are and whatever is happening in the world, Eagles are united through our unbreakable bond and unstoppable spirit. That same spirit of generosity from our donors allows us to provide families with critical resources when they need it most. In fact, several years ago a grandparent of four alumni graciously donated $100,000 to endow the LSMSA Foundation’s Student Enrichment Fund, ensuring that no student would be denied educational opportunities.

We understand that COVID-19’s challenges go much further than disrupting activities and much wider than limiting everyday conveniences. Jobs are affected, health is at risk, stability is unknown…just to name a few. As we prepare for the fall semester, the administration wants to make sure that all students, faculty and staff have every resource necessary to be successful. Because of generous support from our donors, we have already been able to dedicate $26,000 to address technology needs for online learning. Results from the recent survey about technology barriers helped us get a better understanding of our LSMSA community’s vast needs, and we want to assure you that additional funds are available to support Eagle families experiencing challenges that could prevent students’ progress.

As alumni, friends, and family, we are all in this together. We encourage any family who may need assistance this fall, including those who completed the survey, to apply here for help. A committee reviews applications, then notifies you about your request. As always, please feel free to reach out to us​ or the Foundation with any questions or concerns.
