LSMSA enters Phase Two of campus reopening plan

In accordance with Gov. John Bel Edwards' reopening plan, LSMSA moved to Phase Two of the campus reopening plan on Monday, June 8.

The School is committed to ensuring the health and safety of faculty, staff, and students, and its primary focus is the continued achievement of students' academic goals.

In Phase Two, LSMSA will continue a process by which no more than 25% of staff may
report to their customary work locations on any given day. Some employees will be transitioned back to campus to increase the efficiency of campus operations in a limited capacity. However, with physical distancing and thorough, on-going cleanliness as top priorities, many areas will remain in a remote-office format. Communication via email and video conferencing is encouraged as much as possible. All individuals on campus are expected to wear face coverings when in public spaces.

Now in the second half of their programs, Summer School students and staff, as well as the staff and students of the EXCEL program, continue to work and learn in a virtual setting.

LSMSA will continue to adhere to CDC guidelines and follow recommendations of state and local health officials. For details and updates on how LSMSA's response to the coronavirus, please visit www.LSMSA.edu/COVID-19.
