LSMSA Parents’ Council Responds to Pandemic with Excellence

Although graduates of the LSMSA Class of 2020 had a much different May 16 than anyone originally expected, thanks to the LSMSA Parents' Council and Foundation, they received a special delivery the week of their original graduation date.

When the Class of 2020's traditional senior T-shirts were delivered after the school shifted to distance learning, Foundation team member Juliana Sheffield had an idea: mail each graduate their shirt with a note from the Foundation and Parents’ Council.

She quickly turned around the process, and some of the students even humored the Foundation and their parents by posting pics wearing the shirts using the hashtag #LSMSA20CoronaGrad. Provided free of charge to students compliments of the Foundation, the shirts were designed by classmate Beatrice Hoang and signed by each senior, and feature outlines of both the Caddo and Prudhomme dorms.
