Student Spotlight - D'Andre Goodley

Continuing our student spotlight, meet D'Andre Goodley.

Meet D'Andre Goodley, a senior from Opelousas.

D'Andre came to LSMSA to better his education, as his former school didn't have classes that fit what he was looking to do. He's interested in physical therapy and wants to study health sciences after graduating.

"After I tore my meniscus in my knee, I thought I wasn't going to be able to play basketball anymore," D'Andre said. "I started going to physical therapy after surgery and I realized how cool it was."

"Sports really motivate me," he said, "but also knowing everyday I can do something to make other people feel better."

Though D'Andre has been playing basketball since he was five, he considers himself a bit of a nerd, enjoying strategy games and board games.

D'Andre had some words of wisdom for the students coming to LSMSA for the first time. "Enjoy every moment, because you never know what could happen."
