A student from LSMSA won first place in the Louisiana Music Teachers Association’s Torgrimson-Swanzy Piano competition held Saturday, June. 3, at Louisiana State University. Angela Fang, a rising senior from Mandeville, earned at least a 98 in performance and 94 or above in keyboard skills, sight reading and a music theory/history written test at the district competition to reach the state finals. She was the first place winner and outstanding musician for the Alexandria District Piano Rally held in April.
Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) is the preeminent state-supported residential high school with competitive admissions for Louisiana's high-achieving, highly-motivated sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
