Based on the American classic by Louisa May Alcott, the story follows Jo March and her three sisters, Meg, Beth and Amy, as they struggle to grow up without a father in Civil War-era New England. When Jo leaves the family to try to make it as a writer in New York City, she finds success difficult to achieve and is forced to sacrifice her dreams for her family to the realities of growing up.
