Scott Theriot

Scott Theriot (He, Him, His) is from Waggaman, LA, and has spent the last 14 years teaching theatre and directing high school performances.
This year will mark his third at LSMSA. He is married to Rebecca, who is also in education, and a father to two boys, Ryan and Oakley. Scott believes in theatre that is not only cathartic, but can serve as a spark that brings to light issues that our society must face. The Black Lives Matter Movement, LGBTQIA rights, women’s rights, equity and advocacy in education for underserved groups are issues that drive Scott as a proponent of change. He is eager to accept the challenge that the work of IDEA Advisory Council brings.
