A word from the Eagles' nest - January 2023

from the desk of Executive Director Dr. Steve Horton
The new year is here and your LSMSA Eagles are off to a soaring start!
Special Projects Week was a huge success – students took advantage of everything from Needle Arts to Chariot Racing, and the whole community had a blast just learning without the pressure of grades and tests. We really enjoy this segue into the spring semester each year.

As nice as the long winter break was, it’s great to be back in the swing of things. We were so proud to have 41 LSMSA students participate in the City of Natchitoches’ 2023 Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration March for Justice and Peace. It was a special day, and a wonderful way to remember Dr. King’s efforts and mission.

Spring continues to ramp up, with seniors experiencing their “lasts” at LSMSA, juniors looking forward to Prom and Ring Ceremony, and sophomores getting another semester under their belts as Louisiana School students. We are still accepting applicants for the 2023-24 academic year, so be sure to refer any rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors who might be a good fit. We’re also hiring for several positions, so spread the word to your most qualified friends and family!

As always, we appreciate your investments of time and money in our school, and we look forward to sharing more of our activities as the semester progresses. Please click here if you wish to support LSMSA.
