LSMSA Presents Annual Service Awards

Ten members of the faculty and staff of LSMSA recieve their certificates for years of service to the school.
As the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts prepared for the new school year, faculty and staff participated in annual in-service, a week full of presentations, required meetings and awards. During in-service, LSMSA recognized faculty and staff for their years of service to the school. Certificates are awarded on a five-year basis. This year, 10 members of the LSMSA family reached new milestones.

Dr. Pamela Francis completed her fifth year of service as an English teacher. Jacob Speilbauer, Health and Physical Education teacher, and Erin King, personal counselor, both have reached their ten year milestone. Recognized for completing 20 years of service were Senior Lecturer of Mathematics, Jennifer Mangum, Ella Marie Smith, custodian, and IT Director John Sturman.

Celebrated for a quarter century of service were Dale Clingerman, coordinator of athletics and recreation, Dr. Christopher Hynes, Science/Student Research advisor, and Dr. Maria Sanchez, senior lecturer of Spanish.

Ken Stevens, science lab technician, was recognized for 35 years of service at LSMSA, the longest serving employee the school has had to date.

LSMSA is proud of the loyalty and dedication of its faculty and staff, ranked by Niche.com as 2020’s 6th best public high school faculty nationwide.
