What is Pi Day at LSMSA?

Pi Day is an annual Giving Day benefiting Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA) and organized by the LSMSA Foundation. Each year on March 14 (3.14), the LSMSA community comes together for 24 hours to create infinite possibilities.

While no one really knows how far pi could go, we do know it has endless potential—just like our outstanding students! Every gift – large or small – made on 3.14 will go to work immediately to help these students soar.

3.14 will be full of pi-related activities for students and faculty, chances for alumni and friends to make an impact, and maybe even a pie in the face of Dr. Horton!

For Students: If we receive 50 student donations, LSMSA Executive Director Dr. Steve Horton will take a pie to the face during Convocation. If 65 students donate, a mystery faculty or staff member will get pied.

New This Year: Introducing the Pi Society which honors donors who give $3,141.59 annually to the LSMSA Foundation! Members of this new society will receive an exclusive gift acknowledging their loyalty through giving.

Bonuses: Special Pi Day memorabilia will be given to donors who make a gift of $50 or more OR make a new or upgraded monthly recurring gift of $31.41.

Early giving is underway, and it’s easy as pie. Click below to make your Pi Day gift and check back throughout the day on 3.14 to see your impact!
